Wearing body jewellery is something that most of us have an eye for with our various and beautifully designed ear rings, necklaces and bangles. Nowadays the beauty of other types of body jewellery is fairly common with young and old in current times as they personify being fun and extremely hip. The concept of wearing lip rings, nipple shields and toe rings is fast catching up the trends and people increasingly becoming brave enough to wear piercings on their body parts other than ears and nose.

Wearing a lip ring over the lip piercing looks exciting and hip and we see that many of the celebrities and sports people sporting colourful and attractive piercings over their mouth. Lip piercings generally heal up faster than other areas as they don’t have any major blood vessel there. However, it is important to get the piercing done from a reputed place and wearing good quality jewellery to prevent any sort of infection. Remember, you would be wearing something over and around your mouth area, so go in for the piercing keeping in mind that you don’t get uncomfortable eating or talking. Wearing nipple shields and clips and other items forming non piercing nipple jewellery is also a trend that increasingly getting popular. Some of them can be attached to the skin by a magnet, glue or spirit, or even a clip that attaches to the skin by pinching the skin a little bit. Material used can be expensive or cheap depending upon the choice and budget of the wearer.

Another form of conventional body jewellery can be the concept of toe rings; that both men and women like to sport on their feet. They come in various metals and color hues and exquisite patterns and designs that one can use for making their feet look beautiful. It’s important that your feet are clean and adorned with nail paint when you sport a toe ring as it enhances the overall look and also makes your feet look gorgeous with the colors and metal. There are various stores and outlets that offer a huge variety on different kinds of precious stone laden rings and even artificial ones.

Wearing beautiful toe rings in silver metal is a scared practice in the country of India, with Hindu women swearing toe rings as a part of their marriage tradition and culture. Typically, these toe rings are worn on the second toe of the foot and are symbolic of holy marriage and respect. Often made of silver metal they have elaborate detailing and design and patterns. There are traditions in different Indian cultures that forbid unmarried women from wearing toe rings. Whatever the choice is, different cultures have different ways of expressing their traditions, with jewellery only being one of them.
